ENMET SEPTEMBER 2020 NEWSLETTER – Bob Taylor Retires After 42 Years at ENMET

Whether you have been an ENMET customer for many years or just in the past few years you have probably had the pleasure of speaking with Robert “Bob” Taylor in Technical Support. On August 20, 2020, we officially celebrated Bob’s retirement. Bob has been a dedicated member of the ENMET Team for over 42 years. He began working at ENMET in June of 1977 as a technician in manufacturing. Throughout his career he has worn many hats and been involved in many areas of the company including repair, production, customer service, customer training and finishing as an important part of our Technical Support Team. Wherever he was needed, he was always willing to take on a new challenge. He even taught classes at the company’s famous annual “ENMET U” training school in the 80’s and 90’s.

During his years at ENMET, Bob was well-liked and appreciated for his willingness to always take time and educate staff members no matter how simple or complex their questions were, sharing his vast knowledge and experience of gas detection technology. Bob built strong, longstanding relationships with many of ENMET’s customers throughout the years and will be truly missed by those he worked with on a regular basis. Although we will all miss Bob, he has worked hard all of his career and earned the opportunity to enjoy spending time with his wife Mable and on his hobbies including photography and drawing. Bob will also be keeping busy taking care of his 91-year-old Mother and playing with his grand dog Izzy, an energetic Jack Russell Terrier. We wish him the best as he starts a new chapter in his life.
