Verne R. Brown, Ph.D.
Dr. Brown has given over 900 confined space seminars since 1975 to safety councils, hygiene associations, private employers and safety equipment distributors. He has participated in gas and vapor explosion incidents and contested citations in the confined space field approximately 29 times since 1980. Dr Brown’s areas of expertise include gas and vapor detection, instrument capabilities (and deficiencies), confined space regulations for general industry vs. construction standards, confined space written program content, and proper classification of spaces as: permit-required or non-permit, spaces amenable to alternate procedure and spaces amenable to hazard eliminated reclassification.
Stationary Gas and Vapor Systems Consultation
Dr. Brown, subject to schedule availability, has visited numerous customer locations to render assistance in custom designed gas detection installations such as sensor location and control panel installation for multi-point detection systems. Applications have included flammable gases and vapors, chemical solvents, refrigerant gases, toxic gases, military jet fuels, and oxygen depletion.
Gas Detection for Health, Safety and Process Monitoring

Products range from compressed air line monitors to portable gas detectors and continuous multi-channel stationary gas monitoring systems.
